The Black Mountain Communications Center is a highly trained team of telecommunicators. They are responsible for receiving, prioritizing and sending appropriate assistance to citizens of Black Mountain. Their mission is to help save lives, protect property and provide assistance to the public by receiving and processing emergency calls and non-emergency calls; dispatching police officers in a prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional manner. The Communications Center is the life-line for our department.
The Black Mountain Police Department's Communications Center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and serves as a vital part of the Police Department services. This Communications Center is an information and emergency contact point used by the Town after hours and on weekends.
