Trail Etiquette
Trail Etiquette
Pay attention to signs, as some trails are restricted to pedestrians only.
Be courteous and respectful of other trail users.
Yield when entering or crossing trails. When crossing a trail at uncontrolled points, yield to traffic on the trail.
Keep right; pass on left.
Give a ring or call out to alert other trail users that you are about to pass.
Bicyclists must yield to pedestrians.
Use no more than half the trail so that others may pass.
Leave no trace.
Know the trail design limitations. Selecting the right location is safer and more enjoyable for all concerned.
Be quiet on nature trails.
Stay on the trail for your own safety.
