[ARCHIVED] Stormwater Program is giving away one free tree per household

Trees can help! Trees soak up stormwater and their roots hold soil in place.  The Stormwater Program is giving away one free tree per Black Mountain household to assist with stormwater mitigation in wet areas and to prevent erosion.
Choose one of these native trees that are adapted to wet, well-drained soils or wet, boggy conditions:
• Tag Alder (Alnus serrulata)
• Serviceberry (Amelanchier laevis)
• River birch (Betula nigra)
Red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea)
• American fringetree (Chionanthus virginicus)
When: Saturday, October 15th 9am- 12pm or until all trees have been adopted
Where: Terry Estates Public Parking Lot - across the street from TOBM Public Works (304 Black Mountain Ave)
First come, first served! One tree per household.
