On January 3, 2023, the Black Mountain Police Department began investigating a shooting incident which occurred on Rhododendron Ave involving a black pickup truck. The pickup truck of interest is a black Nissan bearing NC plates TER-8040. It has a silver toolbox on the driver side.
The victim was shot over what appears to be an isolated verbal altercation and appears to be in stable non-life-threatening condition at Mission hospital.
Black Mountain Detectives are currently following up on generated leads and incoming information from the public and witnesses.
