River Cleanup – Veterans Park 1/20/23
Defeat cabin fever with us this winter by joining us for a riverbank cleanup at Veterans Park in Black Mountain! Winter is the perfect time to clean up our parks, rivers, and streams, since most of the vegetation has lost its leaves for the winter. Since the water will be very cold at this time of year, this cleanup will be restricted to the riverbanks.
All cleanup supplies will be provided by Black Mountain Recreation & Parks. Participants are encouraged to bring their own work gloves and to dress warm for this program.
Registered participants must meet at the Recreation Offices (304 Black Mountain Ave.) at the beginning of this event to check-in. Once everyone is checked-in and all safety protocols have been covered, everyone will caravan to the program location.
