Free Bioswale Workshop! (registration required)
Bioswales can serve as beautiful additions to sloped landscapes, effectively mitigating erosion caused by stormwater runoff while facilitating rainwater harvesting for gardening. Join the Town of Black Mountain, RiverLink, and Yummy Yards for a hands-on workshop on bioswales. Participants are eligible for a follow-up site consultation with RiverLink staff.

When: 10am-1pm, Thursday, Sep 27, 2023
Where: Black Mountain Town Hall (160 Midland Ave, Black Mountain, NC 28711) and Black Mountain Montessori School (101 Carver Ave, Black Mountain, NC 28711)
What: A classroom presentation on the design and construction of bioswales will be held at Town Hall beginning at 10am, followed by a hands-on portion where participants will construct a small bioswale at Black Mountain Montessori School.
