Stormwater Program Tree Giveaway!

Free tree!

Trees can help! Trees soak up stormwater and their roots hold soil in place.

The TOBM Stormwater Program is giving away one free tree per Black Mountain household to assist with stormwater mitigation in wet areas and to prevent erosion.

If you received a tree for your household last year, and still have room for another tree, feel free to come get one for your household!

Friday, September 29th

4pm to 6pm or until all trees have been adopted

Black Mountain Town Hall, 160 Midland Ave, Black Mountain, NC 28711

First come, first served! One tree per Black Mountain household

Choose one of these native trees that are adapted to wet, well-drained soils or wet, boggy conditions:

  • River birch (Betula nigra)
  • Red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea)
