Representatives from NCDEQ-Divison of Water Resources and Army Corps of Engineers will speak on regulations related to floodplains and streambanks. RiverLink's Watershed Resources Manager Renee Fortner will talk about flood resiliency, particularly, the importance of riparian buffers in mitigating flood damage, how to maintain a healthy riparian buffer, and the basics of streambank once damage has occurred.
